Babs in October 2012

Babs transformed at JRF October 2012
Love and good nutrition go a long way!

Babs is a female Red Lored Amazon at least age 25. She is a wild caught which means she was smuggled into the United States after being caught with sticky traps or other horrific manners of entrapment. Her family lost interest in her after she plucked all of her feathers out from shear psychosis. She was kept in a dark room for many years.

She was rescued by a concerned citizen, someone who wanted to get involved. Now Babs has a chance for a happy life. She is not yet trusting of people, however, she is crazy about Wilson a Blue Crowned Conure and Wilson is smitten with Babs also! Ahhhh, amore!

She is starting to get "most" of her feathers back and starting to show interest in toys. She starts every morning with scrambled eggs, sweet potato and Wilson. She is a wonderful whistler!
