JoshuaJoshua is a male African Grey. He is our first rescue! (Hence the name Joshua Rescue.)

Rescued from his confines inside of a wire mouse cage, he had to be physically cut out in order to release him. He hung upside down like a bat because he had no perch or any room to turn and stand right. He ate black oil sunflower seeds and chips with salt. He was a physical wreck. He had no feathers and his wings had been pinioned (a barbaric act still practiced by unethical vets of amputating their wing to render them flightless).

He has seen much pain, but now his world is filled with love and promise. Just as he has taught me about fortitude, compassion and forgiving, I will keep my promise to him and the others. From here on out no pain, no unsure tomorrows and the rest of their lives will be filled with hope and promise! He has his bonded mate Cleo that depends on Josh for everything!
